Mood board remaking in Canva

For this week in art, we have started to remake our mood board in an online app called Canva because it looks tidier. I have split up my artist into 3 categories, Contemporary, Traditional, and Aoteroa.

Sequence and Series

 We have looked at sequence and series in art and we were tasked to analyse a previous NCEA work and find the series in the work.  We looked at the image below and we looked at how the whole work works together and how the designer tied everything together, and how gestalt worked.  The designer managed to tie all the panels together by using the characters, colours, how the letters were written and how techniques were used for each of the designs. This work showed a great understanding of sequence and series because it fits the artist kaupapa all the way through his work, and that's why he got excellent for it.

 Google Slides - Personal Description

Brief

In art, I've been working on research pages for my chosen movements. Down below is one of the artists that I have researched he is a Russian artist named Rodchenko and he is my research topic for the traditional design movement.

I have also written a brief of what my company is going to be. I've found some colour palettes and have chosen the name for my company. It is "Novus" meaning new in Latin. And currently on my practical work, I am working on developing my design and creating a design for my company name.

This art is by Rodchenko, he is an old artist who lived in Russia and he was born on 5 December 1891 and died on 3 December 1956. 

ART UPDATE

Week 6 of Art 

In design art, I've been using adobe illustrator,  to make some logos for my chosen type of company which is an architecture company. 

I've put random shapes together and have develop them into random orders. 

I have also done some research work on google docs and google slides.

The task was to define words that relates to art.

On Monday I will try and improve my work and make it look neater and change some colour so it complements it eachother. I will all think of a logo name and I already have an idea of what it is going to be.

We have been tasked to make a mood board for our first task in art.

We were tasked to find different artists and one of their art. My chosen theme was designs for cityscape and urban world.  I picked designs that kinda look like graffitis since I think they look cool and fit the environment. I also picked some designs that are usually seen in certain inside offices or buildings.

I chose the design because I want to improve my skills better in designing stuff.

In DVC we had to design a water bottle with a filtration system at the start of the year. Currently, we are working on rendering in three water bottle of our own design. We have to render in these three water bottle that shows each bottle having different material. For example one of them could be metal while the other could be plastic.

What I liked with my work is that it shows where that light is coming from. 

What I don't like about it is that it looks really messy.

Any thoughts/feedback?
