About Lorde


-Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, known professionally as Lorde, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, and record producer who holds both New Zealand and Croatian citizenship.
-She is 21 years old born on 7 November 1996.
-She was born in Auckland suburb of Takapuna and was raised in Devonport.

-She became interested in singing in her childhood and decided to pursue it in her early teens by signing up in the Universal Music Group. She was then paired up with Joel Little who is a New Zealander record producer, musician and Grammy Award-winning songwriter.
-She released her first extended play in 2012 called The Love Club EP and reach in the number two spot on the national record chart in both NZ and Australia.

Works she has done (Songs, Movies, Etc)

Lorde has written and covered a lot of songs but the most popular are Royals which got released in 2013 which became an international hit reaching number one in many charts, making her the youngest solo artist to achieve a number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 since 1987.


Awards

Lorde won an NZ music award for the Love Club EP and won a Taite Music Prize for Pure Heroine.  When Royals was released she earned multiple awards and nomination from 2013-2014 including one APRA Award, one Billboard Music Award and one NZ Music Award. In the 56th Annual Grammy Awards a Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
