Practise SEXXXY Paragraph
In the public service announcement, “Jessica - Harmful Effects of Drugs.” It is projected that meth is very harmful. This is shown when Jessica, the girl in the video, went from being a bubbly cheerleader girl to a bumbling mess she is. For example, at the start of the video, she is shown in front of the stadium performing for the crowd showing that she hasn’t gotten into meth yet. It then cut to darkness and the narrator’s voice spoke up showing places where she harmed herself and others harmed her.Meth impacted her mental state and she got taken advantage by others because of it. It also showed how it affected her way to think when she forced her brother to do meth with her.
The director did this to show that meth cannot only harm yourself but it can also harm others. This situation reminds me of how Johnny Cash, in the movie “Walk the Line”, used to many drugs and drank too much alcohol caused his body to shut down on himself when he was performing on stage.
“Walk the Line” and “Jessica - Harmful Effects of Drugs” shows how badly alcohol and drugs can affect a person’s mental state.
