Sports and Drugs

Should drugs be allowed in sports?

Why drugs shouldn't be allowed.

Gathering Ideas.

Against
-Using performance-enhancing drugs can cause high blood pressure, severe acne, aggressive behaviours, rage or violence, psychiatric behaviours like depression and many more.
-Your accomplishments are not by your own account, you are using drugs and not achieving anything with your own strength.
-It is cheating. Why should you be using performance-enhancing drugs while others don't? Well if performance-enhancing was allowed in sports, there are still some people who would not want to risk their health.
For
-Athletes who are using drugs are getting harder to catch so might as well use them.

Sports, an event where people strives for success.
Whether it is a competition or a practice match and whether it is played with a team or without one.
Sports is where everyone can show their outstanding athletic abilities, like shooting a ball from a three-pointer and getting it straight in, to swimming in a pool like a dolphin and getting to the other side in seconds.
Competitive events like these, bring people to their limit to strive to be the best out of everyone else. Although this type of events also brings out the worst in people. Drugs like performance-enhancing drugs have been used, in sports events,  a lot of times in the past.
Drugs should not be used in sports like events because using drugs like the performance-enhancing drug (or PED for short) can cause a lot of harm on the person, cheating is bad sportsmanship and winning by using these type of drugs are not your own accomplishments.

The used of PED is useful in some cases but it deals a great risk to its user.
Athletes should not be allowed to use drugs because it can cause long term damages to a person's health, something nobody ever wants. PED can cause high blood pressure, it is one of its many symptoms like severe acne, aggressive behaviours and psychiatric behaviours like depression for example. It can also make the hair growth of a person faster and deepening a person's voice.
While using drugs can boost your abilities, your health is still more important than winning a medal or a trophy.

Not only does it harm your body, but it is also a bad show of sportsmanship. Why should you be using drugs while others don't?  Even if drugs were allowed to be used in events, there are still people who do not want to risk their health just for the recognition that they are the best at that game. Using PED shows that you need an extra boost to beat somebody else and you were not good enough to achieve it by hard work. By not using drugs and losing, it can teach them to work harder next time and that accomplishment won't just be easily handed to them and to come their way.

What is better, to accomplish something with your own wits and strength or by using an outsiders help by cheating? The answer is simple, it is gaining something with your own wits and power. Using drugs in sports and succeeding, are not achieved by your own account. You are cheating and you are not accomplishing your own goal with your own talent. We as humans think the better way to do things, are morally correct ways. Although some people beg to differ.

Drugs should not be used in competitive physical events because it can cause a lot of harm to the person using it. It also shows bad sportsmanship and the achievement and praise you get weren't performed with your own strength. Although the people using drugs are getting harder to catch because of our recent advancements in technology, we should at least try and catch the people who are using drugs to make it fair for the people who aren't.
