The City That Never Sleeps (In Progress)

New York should turn off the billboard lights in Time Square at night

Which side I'm on: For/Against

Why they should not turn it off.

Gathering Ideas.

For
-Reduce power use/waste a lot of (energy/electricity).
-Slow down global warming.
-Fewer harmful power plants being built.
-
Against
-It will be hard to change how the city will run.
-It will be darker since most of the light will be off.
-The business might start dropping for some people
-It will lose its meaning of 'The City That Never Sleeps'
-There will be people who will oppose it.
-Tourism will drop.

Organising Ideas

-The business will start dopping/There will be people who will oppose it.
-Tourism will drop
-It will lose its meaning of 'The City That Never Sleeps'.

New York City, a place with new opportunities, tall buildings and a mass amount of people. It's a sight to behold. The tall buildings in the city, the different flavours of food and the various type of clothing brands attract the attention of everyone. Especially at night time, it is when billboards light up and paint the towering buildings, it's the reason why it's called 'The City That Never Sleeps.'
Having the billboards turned off at night time will change a lot of things in New York.
The business that was booming will start dropping - so people will oppose it - tourism will drop and it will lose its meaning of 'The City That Never Sleeps'.

Turning off the billboards might reduce power/electricity use but there will be many companies that will oppose the idea. The money they paid to get billboards up and running will be a waste.
